As a Bible believing church, we believe that marriage is between one person born male and one person born female. God designed it that way and we believe it should stay that way (Genesis 1:27, 2:21-24, Matthew 19:4-6). With that in mind, we will no longer be performing weddings where the pastor will sign a marriage license. As a Christian couple, you will need to be married by the state and then Calvary Chapel of Queen Creek will perform a Christian service to bless your wedding and publicly reaffirm your love and commitment to one another. Our wedding requirements will remain the same; three to six-month notice of your wedding date, not currently living together, no premarital sex, discipling sessions, etc. Church membership (or at least agreeing to our church membership criteria) is also required to have a wedding performed at our facility.

These types of services are performed in other countries, so this is not out of the ordinary but a necessary step to safeguard our church from outside influences. The Word of God is vital to us and we believe that marriage is a direct representation of Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:25). It is not a surprise that the enemy of our souls desires to destroy any representation of a Biblical marriage (John 10:10).
