The beginning of this wonderful ministry . . .
In the fall of 2015, I was approached by a brother in our Church (Vance). He told me of a Cancer training seminar that was taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sponsored by “Cancer Treatment Centers of America”. He asked me if I would consider joining him in this training. After I gave it some prayer, I agreed to go with him. We presented it to our Senior Pastor, and he gave us the green light to go. So off to Tulsa we went. As we arrived in Tulsa, we were treated like royalty.
The training was intense and very informative. We heard testimonies from actual patients and the medical staff providing this care. We were so inspired by the compassion and mercy that everyone displayed for their patients.
One of the most unforgettable statements that was said was given by the Pastor hosting the training. He said, “Our goal here at C.T.C.A. is not to heal the patient. Our goal here is to bring them to the feet of Jesus Christ, because He is the only One that can truly heal them.”
As we headed back home, we were so excited to be able to start a ministry as wonderful as this one. God is truly Magnificent! I am grateful for what God is doing through this ministry at our Church.
I would also like to thank my friend Vance. Because of his compassion, love for others and his obedience to God’s will, that is how the “Calvary Ambassadors of Hope” ministry was founded.
Grateful to be of service,
Pastor Al Rubio
