High School Ministry

Youth Building

When: Sunday mornings 11:00 am & first Friday of the month at 6:30 pm

1st Sunday of the month, the students sit in the service with their families for communion and teaching. We want them to know that they are needed in the body of Christ and that they need the body of Christ as well. Every member is vital to the proper working of the whole body.

We meet every Sunday during the 11:00 am service in the Youth building. We also meet the first Friday of the month at 6:30 pm in the Youth Building for fellowship, games, food, and a study of how God’s Word applies to everyday life.

Currently studying: God’s Crime Scene video series

1 Peter 3:15- But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear . . .

Pastor Al Rubio

Youth Pastor, Youth Ministries

I am a native Arizonan. I was born and raised in Chandler on November 9, 1961. At that time Chandler was a small farming community. Now, like a lot of other surrounding small cities it has grown considerably. My wife Beth and I, will be celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. We have 6 beautiful children and are blessed with several grandchildren. I worked as a construction worker and a warehouse manager most of my life. We now live in Queen Creek and have been attending Calvary Chapel of Queen Creek since 2005. We soon got involved with the children’s ministry, serving in the Sunday School and Calvary Kids Club (CKC).

In 2009, we here at the church began a Men’s Mentoring discipleship process through the Christians Mentors Network (CMN), which I am still currently overseeing. Since then, my wife also went through the Mentoring course, and she is now the overseer of the Women’s Mentoring Discipleship process.

In 2011, I was asked to fill in as the Pastor of the Skyline RV Resort Park in Queen Creek. The saints there were in need of a Pastor to minister to the elderly winter residents of that Park from the months of November till April. I was blessed to fill in as the Pastor of the “Skyline Christian Fellowship” for 5 years. What a blessing that was! Because of our time there we have made many friends, and these friendships will last a lifetime.

In November of 2015, I was honored by being ordained as a Pastor by my Pastor Jim Remington. I am now serving as the Youth Pastor here at Calvary Chapel and in January of 2016, I was asked to come on full time. Of course, this is a dream come true!

I also am blessed to be part of a new ministry here at Calvary Chapel, the ministry is called, “the Ambassadors of Hope” (a health crisis ministry). It is truly a blessing to minister to those that need help coping with the challenges of cancer and other health crisis.

I am humbly honored to serve here at Calvary Chapel, never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that God would want to use me in the ways that He has. We truly serve an Amazing God! May God bless you with more of His Grace.
